No, I realise you don't want to go to Lisbon but for diagnostic purposes as to where the problem lies, it might be worth you dummying making an appointment for Lisbon up to the point where times are offered (but not selecting a time), and then backing out via the big black backwards arrow indicating "Home" on the menu bar , and signing out. You won't actually be making the appointment as such, since there are a couple of steps beyond that before its confirmed.
If you get the same problem with the Lisbon page where others are succeeding, then it might be something to do with your device or software (although it doesn't sound like that so far from the message you're reporting).

I checked for places yesterday and the only ones started in Lisbon on 22nd December.
Looking today there are loads of appointments from 2nd November right through to 16th Nov.
This must be changing every hour.
But still gonna resist until more are available in the Algarve, even if next year.

Maybe we're being channelled to the Test version and they're loading and deleting data willy-nilly while we're trying to book real appointments!!

I have had a reply to my e-mail ...
"Dear Sir/Madam,We confirm reception of your email, which has received our best attention.
SEF makes available to the user the possibility of scheduling an apointment through the Brexit Portal, being able to select the place, date and time at your convenience, according to the national vacancies availability.
We inform that, in case you were not able to schedule/reschedule the appointment, you should wait for the next round of notifications, informing the procedure to be taken.

I know what I am going to do. My 10-year Residency expires in February 2023. If I have not heard from SEF by then, I will use my usual Agency to do it for me, as my husband (who is American) will do.

Latest from AFPOP and Algarve resident.......do nothing if Lisbon does not suit you. SEF will be making more local appointments available in due course !!
Of course I have heard that before with my application for driving license back in March 2021........all docs submitted by email, received acknowledgement of same, and `will be advised in due course`.never have been advised of anything since.
So called IMT Lisbon tother day, after taking my NIF, it was confirmed `there is no record of you ever applying for an exchange of drivers license`.....brilliant !!!!!
