cooking a recipe for a unbelivable fish soup that i got from Tivoli Lagos .
it asks for Natas
Can any one tell me what natas is please . I am also asuming that q.b is a pinch ?

It's cream. Not sure exactly which kind but when we made a mushroom recipe calling for Natas we used "Creme Culinario" which worked fine.

PT Cream is in every supermarket by the milk. Having said that it is NOTHING like british cream.

If it's a Portuguese recipe,then the stuff in the supermarket is what you need...they don't know about British cream

We use Nata ( not the UHT stuff ) in any recipe that calls for cream.
For deserts and cakes it may not be as " creamy " but whips just as well , if you want it sweeter just add a litle castor sugar.
Its also a fraction of the price of imported cream products .
