Natas ?
 
cooking a recipe for a unbelivable fish soup that i got from Tivoli Lagos .

it asks for Natas

Can any one tell me what natas is please . I am also asuming that q.b is a pinch ?:thumbup:

It's cream. Not sure exactly which kind but when we made a mushroom recipe calling for Natas we used "Creme Culinario" which worked fine.

I stand ready to be corrected by someone with a better grasp of Portuguese ;)

PT Cream is in every supermarket by the milk. Having said that it is NOTHING like british cream.

If it's a Portuguese recipe,then the stuff in the supermarket is what you need...they don't know about British cream :unsure:

We use Nata ( not the UHT stuff ) in any recipe that calls for cream.

For deserts and cakes it may not be as " creamy " but whips just as well , if you want it sweeter just add a litle castor sugar.

Its also a fraction of the price of imported cream products .
