Moved to Portugal and back to the UK
I don't think this has ever been covered on this forum.
For those who have moved to Portugal and then moved back, what were your reasons for doing so?

Now I'm frightened - we're just about to move out and you're asking questions like that.
But I look forward to seeing people's reasons.

I thought we were looking for reasons to repatriate, so far all we've got is reasons to stay.

Re: Moved to Portugal and back to the UK
No good reason - you can buy tins of Pataks and Cheddar - OK they are more expensive thank in the UK - BUT think of what you save on the beer and the wine AND the increased cost stops you overdoing it on curry and cheese

Health is often an issue.
As people get older they feel more secure healthwise in their homeland
Not sure why in view of the MRSA & everything, but I've often seen that cited

That is interesting. It is one of the reasons (of many) that I want to leave here.

Disgusting isn't it, especially as we pay a huge percentage, the same if not more than you would in the UK, out of our paypacks for Medicaid/Medicare which 45 MILLION people don't qualify for.
