Moved to Portugal and back to the UK

I don't think this has ever been covered on this forum.

For those who have moved to Portugal and then moved back, what were your reasons for doing so?

No good reason - you can buy tins of Pataks and Cheddar - OK they are more expensive thank in the UK - BUT think of what you save on the beer and the wine AND the increased cost stops you overdoing it on curry and cheese:eek:

Health is often an issue.
As people get older they feel more secure healthwise in their homeland

Not sure why in view of the MRSA & everything, but I've often seen that cited

That is interesting. It is one of the reasons (of many) that I want to leave here.

Disgusting isn't it, especially as we pay a huge percentage, the same if not more than you would in the UK, out of our paypacks for Medicaid/Medicare which 45 MILLION people don't qualify for.
