I have their full package, yet they still have their robots ringing my land line every day; when they have no salesperson available to trouble us, the line disconnects when answered.
I put our number on the "do not call" list, and each time I did get a salesperson told them not to call again. Nothing can stop the onslaught it seems.
So I finally unplugged the phone, and keep it that way. My mobile is a pay-as-you-go, I don't give MEO the number.
This isn't only in Portugal; it seems phones are being disconnected, or at least the ringers disabled, all over.
I think the telephone system is being destroyed by nuisance sales calls.

OH, and when I applied to MEO I very carefully unselected all contact boxes .... to no avail whatsoever.

I always ask for their private number and for information on what time they have their dinner with their family so I can return their call. I think they wrote me off as a troublemaker and deleted my number - I haven't been bothered by them again!
