After waiting for 2 years I now have my Residencia and exchanged my UK Driving licence. I renewed my House insurance today and they copied my new licence.She said that she was only interested in the date. I remember reading a post a long time ago that the person was classed as a new driver and the premiums went up! Did I dream this? I passed my test 40 years ago!

why did you need to give your driving license details for house insurance?
as fare as I know you take the original date of passing test whether UK or PT

Your insurer is perhaps more interested in the date due for renewal? On the back of the PT card is normally listed the dates of original licences for the various classes you qualify for ... and those should not be different from those that you quoted when obtaining your insurance with them, so your NCB would not be affected?
