As far as I know the main factors are: your age, how long you have had your driving licence, engine size (cc), place where you live and car size, women tend to get cheaper premiums as well and of course no claims bonus

Humm our insurance is dead cheap......nobody asked my age,how long i had been driving etc,as far as i know its the car that is insured not the driver,hence i didnt have to prove no claims fron Uk etc
Ive just looked,pay 200 euros a year for megane,including breakdown cover,which is excellent cos ive used it

Ive just looked,pay 200 euros a year for megane,including breakdown cover,which is excellent cos ive used it

. Perhaps I should change my mind about the car I'm thinking of buying. We're thinking of buying new when we have settled in but the quotes have been for €700+. If the value of the car is a factor then obviously new would be more expensive to insure.(Sorry, I had my serious head on there for a few seconds. I do apologise)

A mixture of all three. We have used a Zurich agent in Caldas da Rainha. He has been BRILLIANTeven got a NO CLAIMS BONUS!!! with proof from UK. Even included road side rescue and replacement car. PM me if you would like his details.
AS with all insurance it is not necessarily what you pay....but what and when they pay out for if you have a problem!!
