Can anyone tell me if there are restrictions in place for when we can and cannot (or shouldn't for welfare purposes) travel with our two dogs?
Thanks

My brother brought a dog from the UK to Calgary. You need the relevant vet certificates that the dog is immunised and then you get them on a flight. I think they go as cargo, so it might be luck to get them on the same flight as you.
I could find out the details if you'd like.

Hi.
We spoke with a couple of pet carriers at an expo fair in the spring. They recommend getting pet passports so you can bring them back to the UK, by-passing quarantine, if you have to return. Check the DEFRA website.
Also they strongly advise not to ship the dogs out as the same time as you. This is because, once you've landed and spent an hour or so being processed by Canadian Immigration, you really won't want to then drive around the airport looking for frieght collection and then have stressed dogs to deal with. They said ship the dogs 2-4 weeks later when you're a little more settled and less stressed yourself.
All the best.
