Default Spelling and Grammer

Hi,

I am looking to join EPS, I am serving police officer of 10 years, I am aware that of the tests that are part of the recruitment process, I have treied to google the answer but the doesn't seem to be much agreement so what type of English do Canadians use, English English Or American English?

Funny you should ask as its a mixture. They spell mum ... "mom" but socialise "socialise" where the americans would replace the s with a z. My service took into account I was educated in "proper English" and adjusted my test results to reflect as such.

We speak Canadian English and/or Canadian French.

Oh, and it's grammar not grammer and tried, not treied. Spelling will be an important part of the test I would think.

You're right. Although i was week in many aspects, it was my speeling and grammer that got me threw in the end.

When I was as uni, the standard was one or the other, but not an hybrid of the two. If you stick to the English way you would not be criticized.
