Re: ROYAL CAYMAN ISLANDS POLICE SERVICE
Hello Folks,
Here we are at the beginning of another week. Some waiting for interviews, others waiting for results. I am sure most of us are visiting this forum looking for updates on their fellow applicants progress. My own thoughts are that patience is required. If you think we all applied in May and were told those selected would know in 3 weeks, it took 6 and some still dont know.
Good luck to all and dont forget to keep us all posted.

Look on the bright side, it's far better to go over to Cayman in the winter months and get used to working in the climate while it's a little cooler and not so humid as the summer months.

Yes lils, i agree patience is the order of the day. All things come to those who wait. It's just good to know that several of us are going through the same experience. Without this forum i'd be thinking it was all over long ago.

I was just wondering if someone knew what kit your given when you start?
Ive seen officers on sites wearing white shirts etc but also officers that wear polo shirts, do you get issued both?
Also do you get issued Warrant card/badge holder etc?
Just thought i would ask

Re: ROYAL CAYMAN ISLANDS POLICE SERVICE
patrol officers got,
white shirts (zip up front) with clip on silver buttons
black trousers
whistle n chain
badge
boots
large black holdall - to keep all your paperwork as you don't get a rack or locker.
rain gear

The USG, MU and K9 Officers also get, as far as i remember.

Baz,
I think he might be leaving as it is the latest job vacancy on the RCIPS site this week.
