I haven't seen any commentary on this amongst the British Expat community. It seems serious, as it could carry over to non-Chinese applications vis greater requirements or more intense evaluation of applications. The comments are supportive of actual retirees, but are concerned over the large number of younger Chinese working on the SRRV Visa. There is the suggestion that promotion to the program focus on other regions.
