Regarding the question of one way/onward tickets the issue will be raised at check in at the departure airport and not necessarily at immigration. Airlines face hefty fines if they carry passengers without correct travel documents/tickets.. Be advised

On arrival at Manila, we were given the usual balibayan stamp (even though neither of us hold Filipino passports!!). We went through customs and walked straight through with the cats.
So much for all the scaremongering, or we must look like saints.
Hi Mike

Can I ask you for some info on the documentation you needed to take your cats to Fils and how you managed to get permission to carry them on board rather than in the hold. My wife has a parrot which she wants to take to Fils and not sure the requirements.
Cheers David

I have no idea about importing a parrot to the Philippines, but have imported/exported them from/to Norway, Sweden. Denmark, Qatar & UAE. The paperwork involved in each case would make the full works of Shakespeare look like the address on an envelope. When taking the parrot from Norway to Sweden it did not help that he called the Swedish vet a 'cnut' is Swedish.
