Visit to Davao
Greetings!
My lovely lady and I wish to visit Davao for a few days in April. Would recommend reasonably priced hotels to stay preferably with swimming pool. Also hotels to stay clear of. Would also appreciate places to see and visit.
Many thanks in advance!
Regards
Pete

Pete,
Try hotel site Agoda.com.
If you are planning to travel in March they are offering big discounts at the Marco Polo which I found to be most enjoyable.

Re: Visit to Davao
Thanks for the replies so far which I will look at. I would prefer personal experience of hotels ....both good and bad. I am currently using "Cheap Flights" which deal with both flights and hotels and there is a lot to choose from which is why I prefer to hear personal experience.
If there are any members living there, just drop me line and maybe we can meet up for lunch or something.
Regards
Pete

Re: Visit to Davao
Hi Pete
As suggested by Bealinehx, Marco Polo is probably the best. We stayed there couple of times. Rooms are OK, decent size. Clean, nice pool. Also stayed at Royal Mandaya, maybe one step down from Marco Polo but pretty decent. Hotel Galleria is cheap enough and has a pool but not really recommended. For places to go, we like Eden Nature Park, bit out of town but a lovely day out. Also Davao Philippine Eagle Park and the Crocodile Park. We enjoy Matina Town Square for cheap food and drinks in the evening. Usually has live music. We also like to eat at Outback Grill. For fine dining Claude de Ville and Bondi&Bourke.
Unfortunately won't be in country at that time, would have loved to catch up, next time.
