Get the document signed, pay the money slowly and then totally change all your communications.

Have you ever noticed how one Immigration office will tell you one thing and one office another.. .theres no one resorting to or using facts.
So this woman will talk to one person or another until she finds whatever she wants to hear and then will plan a strategy.

I agree with you.

But in view of the consequences that I may have faced if my defence failed I took the prudent way out.

I know that I understand the Philippines culture especially having lived with a Philippines family of 5 in a small Salle store for about a year before I came here.

Once the case against me is legally over....both with the court and immigration I shall live anonymously elsewhere in the Philippines.

There are many groups on fb that can impart valuable information from personal experiences.

As I stated before I never use FB to show my current circumstances here. That would obviously be foolish. I know that WW reads my fb posts via her friends. We have blocked each other. I am however in contact with some of her remaining friends who sometimes contact me. I feed them misleading information normally.... but I can say this....it is through fb messenger that she was aware via her friends that I was coming to file Bigamy against her at the last Hearing. This is whyI think she accepted my terms. FB can be your friend or enemy. It depends on how it is used.

Thanks, you present an interesting point.

I believe that under Philippine law, a married couple is recognised as one unity so as you suggest on marriage, assets and debts are equally shared. I havent done much research on this so I could be wrong. I know for a fact she has known debts of 275k to various people, the bulk of which came prior to marriage. These debts came without my knowledge nor my consent. I mentioned a few months ago that I was approached by a friend of hers who claimed that she also owed 475k. The story was that she and her husband gave her that money to buy hardware(?) at a greatly discounted price from a contact of hers. But I find the thought of someone giving her a wodge of notes to that value to buy hardware in the big city a few hours away without going with her not all credible. More credible is that the person who was messaging me was WW using a fake account. So that has been largely discounted.

As I mentioned, the bulk of these debts came before our marriage so are at least 3 years old. I would have thought that if the law about joint debts bore any credence, I would have had legal proceedings against me before now. So I am not concerned about it. One creditor, a mutual friend and a Brgy Kagawad, did ask me for the 40k she owes because she told him that it was to help pay for extras at our wedding. I told him that she lied and that I paid for everything. I have heard nothing since. But I do feel sorry for him. He borrowed that money from a friend to help her and is now lumbered with 4k pm interest which he can barely afford. Another creditor who is owed 191k said that I was liable because we were living together prior to marriage, I said it was not my responsibility. I felt sorry for her also because I broke a promise to her. I was paying 19k interest pm for 6 or 7 months and told her that we will pay that off once WW gets a job. And we all know about that job at the call centre. I explained the circumstances to this woman and apologised and told her to chase my ex wife because I had now washed my hands off her. WW certainly left a trail of misery in her wake. I dont expect to hear any more of these debts so I am not unduly concerned about them. But once the case against me is dismissed, I want to try and remedy my marital status.

I think you will find that all assets and debts incurred before the marriage become part of the marriage contract ( or at least seem to round here ), so if she does start to get her debts dumped on you I think the best thing is to get the marriage declared illegal due to her being married before and therefore the debts actually belong to her previous husband and not you.

But it is illegal to have a relationship with someone who is married so he will then be at the mercy of the original husband...

I have already looked into this, but because I was unaware of her previous marriage any proceedings against me will be dismissed in court.

it takes 2 to tango. It is illegal in the Philippines to cohabitate when there is a marriage involved. P11s latest MK2 has 3 children and was previously married ( no anullment). He and she are both committing crimes. Before P11 states he is not cohabitating, he should rightly advice the members that MK2 resides at his new abode from Friday to Sunday. He also stated on another site that he contributes to MK 2 for her up keep.
i dare say P11 will come up with some excuse, as he always does…….there is non so blind that cannot see !

Its possible LL1 might seek further compensation. Although P11 did not have any knowledge of her previous marriage………How do you proove that. I am sure P11 will come up with some excuse.
i was not going to comment on this thread anymore due to P11s excuses and the fact that he thinks he is always correct.
i have no axe to grind with him, however I am totally confused How he can keep stating that there were no problems for the first 3 years and How he now calls LL1 the WW.
Perhaps P11 should enlighten the members that apart from utilising his pensions he also ran up 19k of credit card debt ( which he is paying off at a vast amount of interest) and has paid out 100k in legal fees.
Its damn obvious to me that he was taken to the cleaners the minute he set eyes on LL1 ( now WW)
Maybe this thread should be ended immeadiatly because it is certainly becoming tedious and is totally focused on his Issues with LL1.
How about P11 starting a new thread about his latest LL1-MK2.

I am quite aware of the cohabitation rules as you well know. I am also happy helping her while she tries to find another job which she lost because of Covid.

You live in a high end sub division and do not have a clue about the life of the average fillipino here. Yet the advice you give is condescending and indeed you scoffed when I left WW for the 3rd and final time saying I will be back with her within 3 months . How wrong you were then. Indeed if I followed your so called advice I would be languishing in the UK now with no way back.

Sorry I disagree with you. The first time I disagreed with you on this forum you demanded the 30k loan back which you lent when I needed bail. That was paid back as per your demand. You sir are a sorry individual.
