Two years tomorrow...

Two years tomorrow...
Tomorrow it'll be two whole years since I stepped onto the first of 3 planes that brought me here to New Zealand.
I came over on my own and didnt know anyone in the town I stated off in, I had a full time job to come to but no where to live, no possessions (I had boxes being shipped over 3 months after I arrived) and no real idea of what on earth I was doing.
So the last 2 years have included;
Moving from Rotorua to Auckland. So much happier in Auckland as Rotorua just wasn't for me.
Having 3 different jobs. First job I loved but it was in Rotorua so I had to leave that when I moved, second job in Auckland I also really enjoyed but it just wasnt what I wanted to do long term. Now Im in a job that I love and earning a lot more than I had before so hopefully this is the long term option.
Making lots of new kiwi friends. I was lucky to be able to 'gatecrash' an existing friends social circle when I moved up here and I'm now independently friends with a lot of people I've met through her.
Plans for the immediate future include;
Buying a house. Planning to move to the Shore into a friends rental in the next few weeks and start saving like crazy to buy in the next year.
Holidaying in Thailand in November. Going on my own which is a bit scary but I came 12,000 miles to NZ on my own so I'm sure it'll be fine
Hopefully changing my single status as the novelty of being single after pretty much 23 years in relationships is beginning to fade.
I have no plans to go back to the UK, dont even really have plans to go back to visit but we'll see what the future brings,
