Hi all, we are still here, still loving NZ and OH still without work!!!! He spent 4 months in UK last year and is returning June for 3 months. He is applying for all sorts of work and not getting anything. He does occasionally get a "no thanks" if he is lucky! Resigned to having to do this for the next few years until he retires which is a bit of a pain but it does mean I get full control of the remotes for a while!!! He has also decided that he wants to go through life never wearing long trousers again so is stubbornly still wearing his shorts until he goes back to Uk and hopes he can wear them through their summer until he returns to us in the NZ spring!!!
On a very good note we have brought a house!!! 6 weeks after the first viewing and we were in!!! Been here 4 weeks now and it feels so much more like home than the rental. Been busy doing all the little jobs that come with house purchase and wish we had done it as soon as we came here. Still have no regrets about moving here and still have no desire to return. Hope it stays that way. Bevissa

Excellent update, thank you. It can't be easy spending time apart, assuming you like each other ...
You sound very happy and upbeat. Lovely.

Mostly but sometimes it is nice to get the remote all to myself so he can't keep channel hopping when ever the adverts come on (which over here is about every 5 minutes!!!!)
