Question Working restrictions on LTBV

Another question....it is just so good to be able to ask all the questions on here that are buzzing around in my head keeping me awake!
Can you work extra hours for the 'bank' within the hospital that is sponsoring you for your LTBV? I know that you can't go off and work elsewhere at the same time but surely if it is with the same employer, it is just a form of overtime??

What do you mean by the 'bank'?

Our hospitals here have a 'bank' of nurses so that they don't have to go out to agencies. Some nurses do pure 'bank' so do not have a fixed contract of hours and others (like me), have a substantive contract but also do extra within the hospital on the 'bank'. Generally the bank pays a higher rate than what you earn in your contaract hourly rate but a lot less than you would earn from an agency.
So in other words, you are still employed by the hospital.
