I have been looking on WA government for jobs and seen one in a 'pool' which they may take applications from until 2015.
Deadline date is 24th April 2013 to put in a CV.
Im not looking to move until late 2014 - once saved up enough, should i still send my CV in to this 'pool?'
Advice and experiences please :-)

Hi Alli,
Unfortunately we not in Australia yet, and have now got a 18 mth plan to get over there for August 2015. I have just had confirmation that my nursing registration with AHPRA has been finalised today which is great news!!
Next i will look to do my modified skills assessment then apply for PR visa - but in the meantime need to save up and get our current home up to scratch ready for letting it out :-/
If we win the lottery or get offered a sponsored job with assistance then we will be over sooner :-)
How about you???

Hi Shelz,
After much deliberation I think I'm at the point where I want to try Australia.
I think we're looking at the same advert.......I'm looking at jobs in a pool. Just trying to figure out whether to apply to aphra now and submit a cv stating aphra is underway.
I've gotten to the point where if I don't try it I'll never know....! I'll probably look towards a 457 visa, then if I do settle I'll go the whole hog!

Not many hospitals will sponsor "Pool" or "Casual" jobs because they have to guarantee new recruits on a 457 a minimum of AUD54k. 99.9% of the jobs I advertise have sponsorship on offer for approapriately qualifed/experienced UK Registered Nurses.
