Anyone out there whom has applyed for transcripts of academic record.Well I trained as a registered general nurse in the old school of nursing This has been abolished and are unable to obtain my training record.I do have a reference from my original tutor stating I undertook the assessments during my training .Will that be enough ?

hello, i had same problem - except my school of nursing has closed!! i contacted the NMC and they sent a transcript of my training syllabus to the nursing board. - may not be your own schools but is the equivelant. you have to apply in writing - cant remember address but the phone no for the person who deals with this area is 0207 3336624 name is sameeta (prob incorrect spelling!!).
emailed aussie nursing board and they had receiced it. even better, it is free!!!!!!!

I ve contacted the university whom amalgamated my school of nursing today and they were far from helpful,I will phone the NMC tomorrow.Where are you hoping to go in Aus?

I was the same- quaified in 85 and SON no longer exists.
I had to do an affadavit with a soicitor to confirm my date s of training etc. That was fine.. and easy!

hello i trained 23 years ago and had no problem getting them, i phoned the university where the original college of nuring is now affiliated to and they got them from the archives and sent them to me, think it cost 20 quid

I m hoping to go to Adelaide .My agent has secured two post for me depending my registration comes through and visa etc.I ve been in contact with the NMC and i ve got to write them a letter and they ll send my transcript through. Wish you well
