Are all nurses and medical staff entitled to a relocation package, as my wife has been offered a nursing job at RBWH in Brisbane and they have not mentioned anything about a relocation package?

Is it a case of......if you dont ask, they wont give?

ps. Do they pay for shipping personal belongings out in a container too??

You can ask but generally hospitals that don't have problems recruiting staff don't offer relocation allowances at all. I believe RBWH are one of those, St John of God Healthcare are another.

I would ask anyway they can only say no

Mark I have just started with Queensland Health and put my forms in for my $5000 so they do give it ask your HR dept.

Yes you can spend it on anything one girl has put in loads of receipts for food shopping plus some white goods,etc.
