Default POLICE CHECKs

hi

am planning to apply for midwifery jobs in perth, have joined an agency who seem on the ball. They suggested getting my police check done. I have a crb certificate from 2005 but assumed this is probably out of date now for visa puposes. apparantly you can't apply for individual crb's but can request police clearence from your local authority.

whats the norm, or Does anyone have any advice on this or contacts etc.

cheers

Fone Metropolitan Police on 020 7161 3500 and ask for Form 3019B, costs £10.

go to your local police station, collect form, show id when handing it back in and £10 then wait approx 40 days

I used my CRB check as it was only 6 months old.My hubby contacted local police force who emailed him a form.He sent it off with 10 pounds and the checks took about a month.Quite easy in the end.
