NSW new english requirements.
Hi
Does anyone knows about the new english requirements for overseas trained nurses? Does this apply to all immigrants?
I don't get it. We have to have english tested by the ANMC and then again by the employer.
Am I missing something?

I posted my documents off to the ANMC in Nov 07 and don't recall having to provide any evidence of English language skills. Have I missed something???

"The requirement to complete an English Language Proficiency Test is waived where a nurses education leading to registration was undertaken in the United Kingdom, Ireland, USA or New Zealand."
So we don't need to do them. See this link for more details:
