Midwifery in Oz Please Help
Hi everyone,
I qualify as a direct entry midwife in august, we are hoping to go to Australia around feb next year. I am not applying for sponsoring etc as I am going on hubby's visa (hes an electrician). The thing is I would like to work part time/ bank shifts ideally in oz.
I am worried as have been told by a lot of places you need a minimum of twelve months post graduate experience, and I will only have six. I have seen that not all hospitals accept direct entry, and obviously I cant plan on where we are heading until I know where does. Does anyone have any information on this? I have tried contacting hosp's in oz, australian nursing and midwifery college etc, but dont seem to be getting many answers.
We are ideally looking at Tasmania, but may have to rule it out if I cant get a job there.
Thanks for any help Leanne
