Default any newly qualified nurses gone to oz?

i'm a student nurse going into my 3rd year this year, we are currently applying for permanent residency in oz under my partners qualification as a mechanic, i know the sensible thing to do would be to gain some experience before we go but i'm not sure i'll be able to hang around in crappy england if it gets granted, just wondering if anyone has gone straight to oz after qualifying and if so, how easy was it to get a job???
thanks for any info

Hi there,

i came as a newly qualified nurse! its hard but i figure its hard for anyone regardless of your experience. Obviously things are different wherever u go but if its where you are going to be u might as well get on with it. Be prepared to feel lost, useless and scared at first, but also keep in mind u feel that anyway as a newly qualified nurse. my advise would be to get a position in the graduate nurse program. its for first year nurses, lots of support, good training, good rotation and no expectations from you. most hospitals offer this, normal wages apply. if u know where your going to live let me know and i will give you relevant websites , otherwise for immediate info go to australian google and put in graduate nurse program. are u doing general nursing?
good luck
