ANMC then AHPRA for Perth when, how, how long?!
Hi, I've been trawling through the threads to find an answer but getting more confused!!
To cut a long story short...We are using a migration agent for a permanent residency visa, been accepted just waiting for medicals. Following their advice/instructions I've already (months ago) been through the ANMC process and been cleared. I emailed the agent regarding registration with AHPRA who told me once visa's have been finalised they will send me all my ANMC stuff back to use for AHPRA registration. However...after reading some of these threads I'm confused!! Some say ANMC send the stuff to AHPRA for you (not in my case), on the APHRA website it appears I have to basically go through the whole assessment again??? and it says it takes 4-6 weeks. As we are planning on going as soon as visa's are ready this is too long.
I've heard that I can take my ANMC assessment to a branch of AHPRA once we arrive in Perth and be registered straight away, is this true?
Any help/advice/experience from UK registered nurses in Perth appreciated. Thanks Maria x
