Hi nursesarah we arrived 3 weeksa ago and slowly acclimatising been busy buying cars and stuff so not had much time to enjoy many things yet! Dont start work until 11th feb so plenty of time to play over the school holidays (we have 14 yr old). its really nice to hear how people are getting on especially when you have been part of the the journey ie going through interview etc. glad its working out ok.

Hi all,
Ive just found this thread and very interesting too.
im a nurse heading for bundaberg on a 136 Pr visa, i have a job to go to start 21st jan ive been given 2wks accomadation and 2wks car hire by the hospital im going to work at i believe. I leave Uk 8th Jan arrive 10th!
I was interested to read about the relocation costs.
Ive paid for mine and my families flights cost 2 and half grand would be good if we could get some help with them. Can anyone tell me who i should contact to claim relocation cost and exactly what they are/what i would be intitled to.
ThanksTeryna
Ps who is Ben Archdale?

He's the contact if your moving to Gold Coast. Email the hospital, or you should be in contact with someone about 'helping you relocate'

are you going to be workinng for queensland health? just ask your employer what their relocation package is. its quite hot at the moment well feels like it to us and does get quite cloudy and grey but not like in uk and its always warm strange getting up in the morning see it cloudy but still put shorts on. We live north of Brisbane if you want any info (bear in mind only been here just over 3 weeks) pm me.

im hoping to move to queensland too and hadnt realised they would offer relocation costs which is great! i guess u have to stay with them for a certain amount of time or have to pay it back? do u get allocated a job rather than pick ur fav hospital?

thanks!
