Acceptance of Job
Hi Everyone,
Just wondering did everyone take their first offer of a job in Oz, or did they wait for offers to come in and then decide where they wanted to work? How did you politely not accept offers from wards until all the cards were on the table?

Re: Acceptance of Job
Hi Scott!
I sent my CV to a number of hospitals in Perth and was Suprised by the response. Had my first telephone interview with a hospital yesterday and wasn't intending on accepting the job there and then as i also have offers of interviews at other places. However it all happened so quickly and before i knew it i had accepted. Was really wierd because they never said "i'd like to offer you the job" but started going on about sponsorship and getting paperwork out to me, asked me if i would like to go ahead with this and i said yes! Doh. Having thought about it though i think i probably made the right choice. It's so hard though when you really don't know anything about the hospitals. I was asking the same question as you not so long ago and someone advised me to say that you are waiting to hear where your partner's job will be and don't want to end up commuting long distances therefore can you get back to them with your decission. Hope this helps a little.
