Its showery here today.... with sunny bits inbetween.
Pictures taken 2 minutes ago. Not sure how warm it is... I dont feel very warm but I'm a big wimp anyway.

Looks like UK are still in the middle of their heatwave....

If you talk to people there they say it is very hot and sticky... but if you look at the humidity for UK on the BBC site, its not very high at all. The humidity here in Auckland is up in the 80s - 90% in summer yet it doesnt feel half as bad as UK... anybody care to explain why it feels stickier in UK than here, yet the figures are lower?

August should be nicer with the weather turning more spring like.
Tomorrow is forecast to be gobshite, cold and wet.
Apparently weather forecasters get 3 islands entirely wrong........and has often been proven by Auckland residents.
Islands in question are, UK, New Zealand and the Shetland islands.
Strange but apparently true.
Also I find it odd that I have been skiing in the North Island, driven back to Auckland on the same day and then walked along the beach in my shorts. (not a pretty site)

A bit nippy today!
Bright blue sky today but a nip in the air. Only just over 14C at 10.30 am!
Of you look hard at the picture what you see in the centre is an island type image, it is actually the Coramandel peninsular.

Definately a nip in the air!! I almost needed a coat again this morning when we walked to the shops... in fact I wished I had taken one. Its a beautiful day though with not a cloud in the sky. It was really cold last night and for the first time in weeks the house had loads of condensation in every room this morning.

Very lovely up here in the Bay of Islands. Pure blue skies, but a little chilly. Sort of like a really really good spring day!

Gorgeous today, no wind, some fluffy bits in the sky and nice and warm.
My thermometer says 22C at just after 11 am.
May go for a beach walk later on and I'll take the camera with me.

Weather woman on Ch 1 was doing the biz and she says that it's gonna be cold, particularly in the South Island etc. then she says, 'It would be helpful if people in the Canterbury area don't put their woodburners on for a while because of the pollution hanging in the valley'! Well it's cold what are people going to do?
Went riding yesterday btw and it was a lovely day.
Sat on top of a horse looking over from Mt. Pirongia towards Ruapehu and Whakapapa as they literally gleamed in all their snowiness. It was weird. We were sat there surrounded by greenery and into the distance was a big pavlova and a marshmallow! beautiful.
