... and took a rather good bottle of french Chablis as a treat for the hosts who , apparently, don't drink . Roses from the garden would have been better.

Did prawns with the pasta on the go bowl last night.

It'll be salad because it's been a warm and close day but I've Mediterraneaned the chicken in a oven dish.

Yesterday I went berry picking with a pal of mine , so it's mixed berries and ice-cream for afters.

PYO berries is an Christmas tradition here . Most people bun fight it on Christmas Eve when the pickings will be slim , so we did ours lazily in the sunshine.

Used to have plum trees in the UK and jolly nice they were too (thinks dreamily back to Norfolk....mmmm.......but flippin cold winters)
