Hi and welcome to the forum.
Have some newbie karma to get you started.
Questions, questions eh? Have a good browse around the forum & ask away. The immigration section might give you a little info. Here is a little info from the BE WIKI
Other than that, ask away. Immigration section is for all things about the immigration process. The main section is for all other stuff like shipping, pets and anything else people can think of.

Hi Steph and welcome to thr forum... how long it takes I would say really depends on you! Depends on your seriousness, depends on your job skills, depends on whether you come out with or without a job and depends on how long it takes to sell you house amongst other little things like immigration bits and bobs. But follow the links Bev's given you as a starting point and ask away any other questions you have...

Welcome
Time depends on you.
We were extremely fortunate. Put house on market when kids went back to school in September and sold within 3 weeks, for only £2,500 below asking price, so we didn't give it away.
We submitted our EOI very late July and received our PR beginning of December, having delayed our medicals by a month, then our allocated immigration case officer was off for 3 weeks (bereavement in family), no one allocated to take her place so logically we could have had PR much sooner. OH had job offer so they tend to process quicker.
Have you been on the website to calculate your points.
Best of luck
Pauline
