Re: Watching the Cricket?
Duminy cost South Africa the game. Had he left that catch to his team mate, Elliott is out - and highly unlikely Southee and Vettori would have seen them over. It would have been a complete choke had that happened, given their position - but not on the same wave length as the Americas cup choke.
It was a shame that rain interrupted the game. I'd have fancied them to chase down whatever score the South Africans posted. They probably would have got around 350 given the way they were batting. The wet ball wasn't helping them, Steyn wasn't 100% fit and the Des Walker look-a-like guaranteed you a boundary from at least one ball in his over
They have to hope now Australia beat India as the Indians will fancy smacking them round for a 400+ total if they bat first. Australia in the final as the hosts in their own backyard will be a lot more nervous than the current holders of the cup
But lastly, to Kiwi media - please watch the 1999 Semi Final between Australia and South Africa at Edgbaston. Then come back and tell me that you still think your match last night was the best world cup match ever.

Re: Watching the Cricket?
[That was in response to my post that said "I couldn't watch the whole game last night because of the time difference between NZ and the Caribbean".]
Oh dear. And here I was thinking I'd gotten away with it! Actually, we've lived here since 1978, which means I pretty much have to be a West Indies supporter - hence my interest in the World Cup. Nobody to cheer for, now, but I usually take the side of the underdog in a fight, so "Go Kiwis!"

Love the fact they're all under-estimating India. A side that has far better spin bowlers than the Aussies who will love playing on the Sydney wicket
Pre-world cup results don't matter. For crying out loud even England beat the Indians in Australia.
I sense an Indian victory today, not what the Blackcaps want.

If India can keep wickets in hand I think 329 even at the SCG is getable.

Kiwis opt to bat first . Given the last encounter I think both teams will want to bat out their overs out.

Before the match, I was thinking that Australia had the edge in batting prowess. Now with McCullum gone in the first over, Oz should win it in a canter.

Easy for Australia. Classic bottling at the last from New Zealand
A minutes silence to all those traitors to the crown that chose NZ over England. Hahaha haha haha haha! !!!!!! Enjoy this moment when you don't renew your British passport when you become NZ citizens. Well you best never have a British passport again!
Oh I wish to celebrate round Rangiora tonight!

If you emigrate to NZ or Aus you have already chosen them over England.
