WAIN

Re: WAIN
My ducks are tending to stay on our higher ground.
Everywhere is completely sodden and a lovely norfolk pine tree that has been part of our view for the past 10 years couldn't take anymore and is now a pile of logs.
So much rain that there has been sewage leaking into the sea again & many slips on the roads.
Mind you The Ranges are now looking suitably snowy when the clouds clear .
Still, the weather forecast is more for this week & that includes Canterbury.

1580mm (63in) of rain since 1 Jan - just as well we are 128m above sea level - for some reason my wife wants a tumble dryer?. At least we are warm up in the Far North - no heating on yet

Yes, especially as it's supposed to be summer over here

And still it keeps on raining. Our lawn is so saturated that you can actually hear the water in it .
I can't get near our raised beds and fruit trees as the area around them is just a muddy bog. Not happy.

Re: WAIN
We seem to have gained some additional water features in our garden too - the grass is in danger of becoming a duck pond.

We drove north from Auckland today - two to three hours of monsoonal rain (to the point of almost having to stop). Extensive flooding. Got to 4km of our place, over a small hill, and it was dry as a bone?? Perhaps tomorrow :-)
