Re: Wain !
It still isn't raining. Forecast is for yet another week of 30 + and no rain. Quite unusual in Autumn in this spot.

Ahem . Mr BEVS is a plumber.
There is a switch thing on our tank when you need to fill up from mains. When the place was built there was no mains or drains. It was septic tank and rain water/well water. I think when mains came along people here were given the option to have the facility so that is why we have the switch over ability to fill the tank. The house across the way doesn't have mains at all.

I know! That's why I said it.
Can't see the difference myself (i.e. why would it be illegal) to using mains water direct into the house plumbing or sticking it in your tank. But there ya go.
I wouldn't want to taint my tank with the mains water here as it happens.
I'm sure you could do a mean rain dance though. I'm told they work best when performed naked.

Got some at last!! Okay so only heavy drizzly type showers but ooh that lovely smell of dry earth when new rain is on it.
The chooks hid & then did a dance & the horses headed for cover but sauntered out & seemed to revel in it.

Had enough wain, already. Amazing how quickly the feeling of dampness and humidity pervades everything.

The lack of forecast rain here has cost me dear this week. I wouldn't sign a sick note for my son with a cold to avoid outdoor swimming as the forecast was rain. I bet him money he wouldn't have to go...........he swam every day this week and no rain. My faith in the Met Service has wained(!) further

Yes mega wain, we've had the sideways kind of rain lingering for most of the week. Today started out looking sunny and loverly, however the extra heavy wet stuff is back with a vengeance this arvo and dark at 4.30pm WTF
