Have to do a quick trip to UK - anyone used Virgin through Shanghai recently?

I've not flown Virgin for years but we were very impressed with Hainan Airways on our way home. The flights were VERY cheap from Beijing to Manchester.
I'd never heard of them before but they were very good.
