Default Trying out ACC!

Hi

Well we have been here since August, working from November. My husband charlie decided that getting involved in the workplace footie team would be a good way of making friends. (couldn't play football in UK, so why he thought he would be able to in NZ is beyond me!)

Great plan until....

He completely ruptures his achilles tendon! The team ironically consisted if his colleagues from ED at the local hospital, which where we found ourselves for several hours later.

He is now potted up and on crutches, unable to work/drive/do anything! We are discovering what all the fuss about ACC is!!!

Oh well these things come to try us...

we still love it here!

Nick

ACC rocks! I went to A&E so many times last summer they were laughing when I walked though the door (I'm allergic to sandflies ) -I only ever had to pay on the first visit. I pulled a muscle in my neck painting the ceiling and I had WEEKS of physio and never had to pay a cent! I know that when you're used to free medical care this doesn't seem like a big deal but I had to pay €50 to see a doctor and it would be the same again every time I saw a physio if we were in Ireland.

Hope he gets better soon. At least he had a go..
