Default transferring money NZ to UK

If any of you have done this who did you get the best deal from?
I have juts looked at transferring some cash back using kiwibank but its not a great rate.

How easy is it to use a different company?

Banks will give you a shaved rate on a large IMT, might be worth getting on the blower.

Check out OMF Financial in Auckland. http://www.OMF.co.nz. They are an investment house, but their FX rates are far better than the banks. Usually they want to do $50,000 deals or greater, but once you become a good client they do smaller transactions as well. You can set up remotely with the right ID, but be aware the new anti-money laundering act is making it more difficult to set up bank accounts remotely.

PS: We have no connection with them other than as a customer.

Definitely search around for an foreign exchange broker, they'll be able to beat the banks / post office on the exchange rate by up to 4%
