Default Transferring Money from NZ to UK

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone advise on the best way to transfer money from NZ to the UK. There is plenty on the forums about doing it the other way but wondered if anyone could help me send money the other way?

Thanks

Dan

i would hazard a guess that you can do the same thing in reverse ... places like hifx, worldfirst, moneycorp etc deal in moving money around - i guess they'll move $ to £ as well as £ to $ ... i suppose the same stuff applies as doing it the other way... check out the rates you'll get and how much it's going to cost you before signing up for anything...

or if it's smaller amounts (few hundred quid etc) you could wire it from the post office or lots of travel agents to post office or travel agent in UK for someone to collect... though it costs money to do this and the rates aren't always the best (it does only take about 20 minutes to arrive though, which is cool... though not so much when NZ-UK given time difference - business at the opposite end not usually open!)

or you could just set up a foreign payment from a kiwi bank to a uk bank... can be a faff though in my experience, and can take a while as well as the rates being a bit naff.... and it costs money - last time i did with natwest for my bro it was £25 :-(

guess it depends what you need to do, and how much money you're talking about
