I was a bit concerned for a wee while there (nobviously othing compared to what you went through!)
Don't you hate it when folk put you through unnessary stress when your under enough stress already

Hi Nici, this is fantastic news, i 've been a bit out of it as far as expats go for a few days, while settling in here, but I am back and so pleased for you, the ups and downs are trying arn't they, but you will get here and it all seems a world away then.

Listen.....i wish you every last bit of luck possible with the house sale but are you still talking about the same reliable african diplomat type.....??
Please don't count your chicks before they're well and truly hatched grown up, cooked and in the pot thats the bank so to speak.......
Hopefully tuesday will come, they'll sign....a few weeks will go by and you'll exchange....then complete and all will be sunny in the garden.
I hope it all goes well for you but as was said before such people are notoriously unreliable.....

An update.........
Got a call last night from the buyers broker (and as you have probably guessed by now with the people I am talking about) was asked to drop the price
Apparently they are 1500 short but will sign and exchange at end of week if we can give them this money off the house.
So, as is usual in the emigration process, we have agreed to let them have it......and not in the way I would of like to either
So the sarga goes on and on. Funnily enough, a colleague told me this morning that there was a programme on tv last night talking about some Nigerians that were doing the same to others but in that case they were asked to drop £6000
Didn't get off to bad in the light of things.
