Scuba shops ChCh

Re: Scuba shops ChCh
Nah, not used any. Have been into Dive HQ and the one opposite it on Moorhouse. Both seem well equipped and have knowledgable staff, but the freedive gear I was after wasn't in there. Dive HQ seem the most pro-active, holding dive trips to Mutonau and Akaroa for a couple of hundy.
The other I have heard good things about is Underwater Sports but they've moved quite recently and I don't know where to.
So no help whatsoever, but let me know if you are heading out and I'll share fuel costs and play at freediving

used Dive HQ a few years ago.
very professional
my OH used then for her PADI Advanced open course.. and she found the instruction very good ( she compared this to her UK BSAC club diver and PADI open water)
Sadly.. she has now decided that to many kids precludes scuba.. so our dive gear sits lonely in the garage.. with the odd outing to clean the pool ( logged its ass oh yes.. head wet.. goes in the book.. yes sad i know)
