amusing how some England haters and England lovers took it seriously.
anyone who uses the word "sports" instead of "sport" needs to be shot in the guts though, and yes that includes the whole of the US population
some of the blog is factually incorrect BTW - I'm sure you've spotted it though Aunty....? second paragraph?

Re: RWC - Triumph or flop?
Quelle surprise!
After a week of complaining bitterly that the French were only putting up their B Team; how strange that today the media is full of figurative patting of all Kiwis on the back because they 'smashed France' on this 'historic night', lauding over such a 'statement world cup victory' with such an 'impressive win'.
Please, somebody make it stop!!!

Funny how the knives have been out for the English since they lost to the French.
I remember another team that lost to the French in the quarter finals for the last world cup.

How could we forget? I hope all those Kiwis that were last weekend sporting berets along with the red, white and the bleu face paint and clothing will continue to show their support for France through to the final.
Allez les bleu!!
Go the Welsh!!
Go the Wallabies!!

I love this quote in todays Herald.
"A group of players, led by Mike Tindall, have a drunken night out in Queenstown after their opening victory over Argentina, cavorting with women and dwarves."

Yeah but you'd get pretty tired of the endless comments that the Welsh only did so well because of Warren Gatland and Graham Henry in the past; it goes on and on and no matter what happens the Kiwis will claim all the victory they can muster.
Now don't get too excited out there people, there's a 75% chance of a New Zealand coach getting his hands on the web Ellis cup. Latest comments say that the next best thing to the All Blacks winning apparently would be a face off between Robbie Deans V Warren Gatland in the final. :lol That way they're guaranteed a Kiwi wins.
How desperate are they that they'd settle for any kind of vicarious kudos?
