Default rtw endorsement

hi guys

seeing as you're allowed to drive in new Zealand with a british license for the first year. are you able to add the rtw endorsement that lets you operate machinery to the license in new Zealand? really not sure how it works. shame my qualifications aren't recognised in the country. hope some one can help. regards

jon

The WTR goes on your Kiwi licence there is no test (apart from eyes) for the swap over just go into an AA office and they do it there and then for you. The WTR test is a piece of piss it,s a half day course and you might no see a machine for more than 5 mins it,s a joke really... Cost from memory are about 350 bux but that was 5 years ago so it,s prob gone up a bit

I used to run the digger school for this firm and can recomend them if you are doing it in ChCh, just had a quick read and you have to have the Kiwi licence

cheers both. nice one neil. think that's what ill do then. remember you saying theres plenty of work in Christchurch. me and a mate of mine has decided to stay in auck for a couple of weeks, then take 3 weeks to travel down on the stray bus and finish up at Christchurch to hopefully get settled and use chch as a hub to work and save, then go travelling for a week, then come back to work and top up the funds etc. haven't been applying for jobs yet as I don't see much point without the WTR. ill defo use that driveschool company though. you reckon I could get a job pretty sharpish when I obtain the WTR neil? cheers
