Default rental prices for the hutt

Hi

does anyone know if i should be able to afford rentals costing 200-300 dollers a week when my salary will be 50000NZD i have no idea about rental stuff, and all the taxes and rates that go with, so does any kind soul have any advice or experience, will i as a single mid 20's fella be able to afford this

im looking for a 2 bed unit or house, but sill go for a single if money is going to be tight

Hi,
It will be much closer to $300 per week for anything in the Lower Hutt area.
Have a look at this web site www.stuff.co.nz This is the web site for the Dominion post a wellington paper. They advertise places to buy, rent, jobs etc.

thanks for the reply KAZ, i have been looking at www.recoats.co.nz they have some decent places for around 200-300 in the areas of Avalon, Boulcortt.

really just wanna know if im in the right ball park for affordability taking my salary into account.
