Removal Firms
Has anyone used either of these three removal firms, and if so, comments please?
PSS
Anglo Pacific
Bonner.
Just getting some quotes from them and wondered if anyone had any experience of dealing with them.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Removal Firms
From what I've read we will almost certainly go with Crown for one reason, that being that they do not use agents to deal with the NZ piece, so they have control and are more easily accountable should something go wrong.
We don't intend making such a huge move again (never say never!) and feel the piece of mind from using such people outweighs the extra cost.

I used PSS from Essex to Wellington very recently. I would 100% recommend them HOWEVER it does depend on which team of packers you get. The Essex team have the best reputation and I watched them like a hawk to ensure that a) everthing was packed carefully with enough materials etc and
b) nothing was left behind
The journey took 7 weeks and was handled this end by New Zealand Vanlines. NZVL have often been slated on this and other forums, HOWEVER I had a great experience with them. Communication was excellent, delivery time was as agreed, removal guys put together beds and unpacked the large items. I was even allowed to go to the depot to be present for the MAF inspection (which was painless).
Nothing was broken or missing so I was very happy.
I believe that a lot of people have problems with their shipping when they don't have a sole container, ie they use groupage. This delays the journey, causes problems at this end with delivery and things going missing.
Good luck with whoever you choose.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
We've been told the magic number is 700 cubic meters. Which means you can utilise groupage if you wish. There's not a great deal of difference between groupage and your own container and groupage will mean potentially another few weeks before your goods arrive.
Strangely enough out of the two quotes we've had already one said we have under 700 and the other over 700.

Re: Removal Firms
Hi, we used Anglo Pacific. Paid just under 3,000 GBP to ship 450 cuft using groupage. Dont rate their packers though. At the start of the day they were carefully wrapping slippers . But by the end of the day they were stuffing quilts and pillows in with the bikes (ruined my brakes:curse. We did have a few breakages due to poor packing. Not sure who was used this end to deliver to our new home but we were well impressed (could have been World Moving and Storage?). The guys put all the boxes exactly where we wanted them and said just to phone the office when we had unpacked the boxes and they would come and remove all the cardboard. Good luck
