Default Progess after 6 days...

Hiya,
Just thought i would let you all know what we are up to, we have found a really nice rental in Browns Bay, hopefully get keys in a week or so and then kit it out and move in around the end of Aug (in hotel til the 28th). We have seen a car we like but cannot get the finance on it until we have our visas but the garage has kindly lent us a courtsey car until this happens which i thought was really nice of them. Dan has started his job and has set loads of meetings up. I have been doing alot of shopping trying to get what we need for the house before the sales end (fink we came at right time for getting all house stuff). I met a lady off this site last night for a few drinks which was lovely. All in all we are loving it here!

Sounds like you doing really well and getting settled in quickly which is good The garages all seem to be like that, we spent the first few weekends trying out different 4x4's as you can go out unaccompanied and all the garages just said keep it overnight, give it a good run out, etc! So different from UK, eh?!

I don't know about Browns Bay but here the shops seem to have permanent sales on and special offers. Getting set up again though is expensive, don't you think? I mean like stock cupboard stuff like all the herbs, spices, baking stuff, cleaning stuff, diy stuff, etc. We weren't allowed to bring any of it in our container and I've spent a small fortune replacing it all even with the discounts.

Good luck with your rental. Hope your OH is enjoying his job and all continues well for you.

Best wishes, Mandie xx
