Default Pickfords

Pickfords came in yesterday to pack us up. The blokes worked like crazy. The original estimator had got it slightly wrong, but the office cheerfully upped our quantity with very minimal extra charge ( not sure how he got it wrong, mind you). We went with letton percival for insurance, and there was absolutely no pressure on us to take Pickford's own. Very happy with the service - let's hope I'm not posting again in 3 months, full of woe....

Good luck. Our movers, PSS come on 10 & 11 January 2011. We're taking their insurance because, um, we just are. Yes we could have gone to Letton Percival but any insurance company only proves it's worth in the event of a claim, yes ? We have no idea whether we've got a good 'un. Like you, I'll post again in 3 months time to tell you how it went !

We went with PSS. They got the estimate badly wrong. But the service was good, and everything got here intact, adn took only 2 and a half months. I won't tell you about the trunk that we had sent speedy service though, which ended up in Saudi Arabia (???) and got here after the shipped goods arrived...

We did exactly the same - Pickfords + Letton Percival, and very happy so far. Our two containers are due here in about 3 weeks, so keeping my fingers crossed at the moment.
