I know someone awful in Titirangi so we won't step foot there. 
Anyway, enjoy Paraparaumu & Welly, we're following you in just over 7 weeks' time!
I guess the chopped down trees isn't something you're going to see on lots of shows about NZ eh?

YES!!!! I am enjoying it ok
Spent whole day in Welly today down in Scorchin Bay and had lunch at the famous Chocolate Fish Cafe!!! Then drove round the little road that runs round all the bays back to the city centre - really nice!! Then out round top of harbour and out to Eastborne on the east side - really laid back there - liked it alot!!!
I think Welly has a much nicer feel than AKL as a city because the "city" part seems concentrated at the city centre. The suburbs seem more like communities than they do in AKL just based on my limited time in each place so far - will see if still feel same way when we get back up to AKL!!! Of course haven't seen Welly in bad weather LOL! Its damn hot in Welly at the mo!
Back down to Welly tomorrow - gonna take the train in just for fun! Meeting Danny, Donna & Rachel at the Te Papa Museum which should be interesting!
Still debating what to do next - stay longer in Welly area, head to Nelson, or head back north for more detailed look at some places - will let you know!!
