One way flights to NZ
We have been looking at various airlines over the last few months, and Cathay Pacfic are the cheapest by £1000 has anyone flown with them if so how did you find them.
Also can you recommend any airlines that were good or ones to avoid.
Many thanks

dunno about cathay pacific as haven't flown with them - singapore are best we've been with, tho air nz, brit airways and quantas all ok... friends swear by emirates?
spotted one-way LHR-AKL with thai air a few weeks ago for £490 all inc. via bangkok, but dunno what they're like? we're going in june and have gone with singapore - 1700 for three of us, and 120kg of luggage cos of our PR. slightly more than the other airlines we found, but we know what we're getting and have sorted out 15hours in changi so we can book in the transit hotel for some kip!

Our friends family have just gone back to the UK.They flew with Royal Brunei (sp?).I would say a big no no and they said never again.Everyone had to pray in Manchester before they took off, also they don't give out alcohol !! Bit of a bummer when you think how much the flight cost and not even a wine with your meal. We have been with Singapore and Malaysian and New Zealand Airlines, all very good.My mum arrived here in March on the new Emerites airbus and said she ain't gonna fly with any one else now !!!

We came with nzair through LAX, extra luggage, and if you put ''mov****'' in the promo code you will get a discount on the flight or we did in january. Just checked on the website and it has finished but someone may know of a code to use . We found out from a post on britishexpats so it may pay you to ask about. We saved 600 pounds.
Good luck sorry I cannot help anymore

Hi
I came via LAX with AirNZ. Very good entertainment food and wine and was impressed with them. Though the stopover at LAX is uninspiring to say the least Queueing to go through pointless immigration procedures and then sitting in a bare room for 2 hours You do get 46kg luggage allowance per person though and I was quite liberal with their carry on allowances and was allowed through
Used Thai last year to travel to and from NZ with a holiday in SE Asia in between. Quality was variable. Great on the legs from AKL to Bangkok, would recommend Thai from this part of the journey. Crap LHR to Bangkok and back, tatty planes and decor, rude staff, only one screen at the front of the plane and only one film, nasty food and wine.
Never flown with Cathay pacific

LA might be a pit n sitting in this bare room might be pain but am willing to do it this once as 46kg Vs 20kg does it for me... Plus you spend most your time in plan (24 out of 26hrs) so as long as the food, wine, seats n entertainment are good am flying through LAX no questions!
