Well I think the weather has turned at bit!!! Here in JAFAland anyhoo.

Got me thinking, what do I do with my days off now? Quite got into the whole lounging in the sun thing. I've just joined the library so I can get hiking, sorry, tramping books out for walks around Junta del Jafa, but what else do us psuedo-kiwis do till its togs time again??

IT can be funny the weather here- no longer are you thinking that's it, months of misery stretches out then it'll go all sunny. Winter last year had many, many sunny days and was perfect for walking. Got pic of my kids in the sea in June

Turning sunny again next week by weather forecast, so dont hang up the togs just yet.

Winter time I`ll be snuggled up with my hubby, watching DVD`s with a glass or two of wine. Think I will hibernate till spring though!!!!!! We came out mid winter last year, that felt long enough. NO central heating.

You need a dog Owen. Get yourself to the SPCA and get an old couch hound to keep you warm

Can I recommend you can start to brush up on your fire-lighting skills, get yourself down to the library and read up on the following:

Window Wiping 101;
20 Ways to Get Rid of Mildew;
Building Arks for Dummies;
Innovative No8 Wire Techniques (in case your roof blows away)
Nana's Book of Crochet (you'll be needing blankets)

Get yourself to the Warehouse, stock up on candles for the powercuts and stay home baking to warm your house and your soul for the next six months.

She'll be right mate - soon be summer!

If you haven't got wood, get it NOW! (for those with a woodburner )

Specifically ask if the wood is dry, because if you don't ask, you may well get the stuff that's been sitting outside and is now wet.

If you leave the wood buying to later in the year, expect delays of up to two weeks for delivery

Everyone at work, me included, seems a bit flat this week, is it the change in weather and the changing of the clocks do you think?? Seems to be a lack of enthusiasm just now...

Collect pinecones for the wood burner.
Look out those thermals
Calculate the costs for a days skiing & see if you can afford to go.
Sort your vege patch and plant those Spring bulbs.
Prune your trees.
Do the boring stuff you've ignored all the glorious Summer.

I dont expect we've seen the last of the sun yet.... once it comes out again the temps could get up into the low 20's again.... so very pleasant. I reckon youll be out "tramping" again in no time at all.

Blimey it rained and rained here today!! We only had a water delivery last week but I reckon there must be loads in our tanks now. There was a huge flash of lightening this afternoon then the loudest thunder Ive ever heard.... the house almost shook with the sound of it... went on for ages too.
