Hi guys!

A bit of advice needed for the second Oil-filled heater I have bought from The Warehouse ...had to return one already as it didnt work and have plugged this new one in and its been on for two hours and...sod all!!!

Am I doing something wrong or is it just Warehouse quality? I mean its not their red brand it's an evantair brand...is there a better one I could get!?!?

HELP!! Im cold! :-(

Thanks

I wouldn't buy anything electrical from The Warehouse, personally. We have a couple of Dimplex ones that we got in a sale at Mitre 10 a couple of years back. Not had a problem with them.

I'd get a refund & take yourself off to Mitre 10, Bricoes or wherever. Good luck

Briscoes have a great selection of heaters, especially when they have a sale on, I bought a De Longhi and Breville heaters for the same price as some of The Warehouse's own brands, both are great and have a much better build quality

Get a refund from the big red barn and go somewhere else, even if you go to Noel Leeming you will get flybuys on your purchases too

This would probably apply to me as I'm blonde but have you switched it on?

Perhaps not such a numpty suggestion, but does the socket you've plugged the heater into work?

One of the sockets in my son's bedroom doesn't work at all.. but the other does... go figure!

I'd try plugging it in somewhere else... just to be sure

Is it powerful enough? Eg a 2000W heater or a itty bitty little heater? Maybe it is on but the room is too big?

OR (something that i did wrong with a delonghi heater) is the timer or thermostat function. I didn't realise it had a thermostat and had the little dial turned nearly off. Which meant that as soon as it got to that temperature the thing was turning itself off. Grrr.

I then realised that when it was on that i had accidently set the timer to turn off after 20 mins. Again, grrrr.

So check the thermostat!!
